There was a story in the June 7th edition of the Boston Globe about several divers who were caught bringing up undersized lobsters. The NEADC felt that the article did not give an accurate picture of New England Divers, and has sent a letter to the editor of the Boston Globe. Apparently there was an out-of-the-blue vote in the Gloucester City Council on Tuesday, June 12th about the dive flag law. After a "heated 90-minute debate" the council voted 6-3 to abandon the compromise worked out by diver Patrick Scalli and lobsterman Peter K. Prybot and maintain the same law.
