The Northeastern Lecture Series has a new talk scheduled: Consequences of Biodiversity Loss for Marine Ecosystems with Dr. Matthew Bracken on Feb 12

The earth is currently experiencing what are arguably the most rapid and pervasive species extinctions in its history. How do these biodiversity changes affect marine ecosystems? A growing body of evidence suggests that because of the unique roles that species play, changes in diversity can dramatically influence key processes in ecosystems. In order to maintain viable marine ecosystems, we therefore need to pay particular attention to the causes and consequences of changes in biodiversity.More info
