Still time to get in the water!

Well, the 2008 dive season is winding down, but there is still time to get wet!

Did you win a raffle item at the Great Annual Fish Count in July?

Have you won a dive in the NEAq's Giant Ocean Tank (GOT) this year during one of our monthly General Meeting's?

Have you met a new dive buddy during one of our many shore dives or boat dives?

If the answer is NO, then let me help you!

If you are a current member, what are you waiting for? Please join us for some great shore dives. Our Tropical Fish Hunt has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 21st, or you can come to one of our monthly meetings for a chance to win a FREE dive in the GOT! This month, on Wednesday, September 17th, renowned underwater photographer, Jonathan Bird, will be releasing his latest book; Creatures of the Deep Blue. Please come, even if you are not currently a member, all are welcome.

Also, If you are not a member, please contact me at membership@neadc.org for info on all of the great activities and dives our club has on tap for the remainder of the season. We welcome divers of every experience level, because our common thread is our love of the undersea world.

As the NEADC's new Membership Director, I would like to offer my assistance to anyone with questions regarding their current membership status, or current contact information. If you have not received a club newsletter or an email reminder recently, it's possible that your contact information is out of date. One of my goals as the Membership Director is to increase the club's 'connections' by cleaning up any errors or missing data on our membership lists.

To update your information, feel free to contact me directly at membership@neadc.org, or visit our club's website, and click on "Update Your Info" to do it online. Currently, more than one quarter of our active members have no email listed, and I am aware that we also have bad addresses for other members. It is important to note that it is the NEAq and the NEADC's policy that we never share our member's personal information with any outside agency. Contact information is only used to facilitate the delivery of newsletters, program reminders, and event updates.

In addition to assisting our current members, I would also like to encourage and assist anyone interested in joining our prestigious club. To that end, if you have a dive buddy that is not currently a member, please invite them to one of our outstanding General Meetings. Already this year, we have had Brian Skerry & Marty Snyderman present to the club, and for May 16th Al has secured another world-class speaker, Ethan Gordon! Be sure to remind your buddies that as a member of the NEADC, they will have the opportunity to win a free dive in the Giant Ocean Tank in our monthly raffle!

Lastly, the New England dive season is upon us. I look forward to meeting you on one of the many scheduled shore and boat dives.

Let's get wet!
